Line post insulators shall conform in all respects to the requirements of ANSI standard. The insulators shall be made of good commercial-grade wet-process porcelain. The entire surface of the insulator, with the exception of a firing surface, shall be glazed. If gray is required, it shall be in accordance with ANSI Z55.1-1967 (R1973). Metal parts shall be made of a good commercial grade of malleable iron, ductile iron, steel, or
aluminum. Ferrous parts, other than stainless steel, shall be galvanized in accordance with ASTM A153.
Applications:
The ANSI 57-4 porcelain line post insulators are used on distrbution lines with voltage up to 55kV. These insulators are commonly installed vertically on metal base to support the conductor. Tie top procelain can hold conductor firmly and suitable for different size of conductors.
Competitive advantages:
Reasonable insulation structure
high reliability of inter-turn insulation.
Small volume light weightStainless steel flange low magnetic inductivity high resistivity.
Convenient transportation and flexible installation.
Low loss
Low temperature rise
High mechanical strength, strong weather ability.
Outstanding crack resistance.
Low thermal expansion coefficient
